Welcome to the Louisville Metro Housing Authority web site. In 2003, the Housing Authority of Jefferson County and the Housing Authority of Louisville merged to form the Louisville Metro Housing Authority (LMHA) – we move forward as a newly merged agency.

As you peruse the pages of our website, you'll learn about our agency , various housing options, and HOPE VI initiatives we have underway. You'll also have an opportunity to hear from some of the many individuals who have parti cipated in and benefited from the programs and services we provide for our residents. Each of them is to be commended for their hard work and dedication to bringing about positive change for themselves, their families and the communities in which they live.

Perhaps one of the most interesting aspects of our website is the photos that are featured on each page. These individuals represent the heart and soul of LMHA ...the thousands of residents, hundreds of staff members, and our Board of Commissioners. Through our combined efforts, we will continue to strive to Enhance Lives, Build on Strengths and Create Community.
