Section 8 Rental Assistance Process
The following steps must be completed:

Complete the pre-application form - the original application must be mailed to the post office box.

Attend a New Family Orientation after your application reaches the top of the waiting list.

Attend an appointment with program representative to determine your eligibility to participate in the Section 8 program.

Attend a briefing session during which time you will receive your Section 8 voucher, information on leasing a unit and the Section 8 program specifics.

Locate a unit to lease.
Eligibility Determination
If you fail to: 1) complete steps 1, 2, or 3; (2) keep an appointment; or (3) complete the certification process, your application may be ineligible for further consideration. If you are determined ineligible you will receive written notice with information concerning your rights.
