LOUISVILLE, KY (October 31, 2022) - Louisville Metro Housing Authority (LMHA) partnered with Kentucky Opera in late September for the rollout of the opera's mainstage show, La bohème. Themes of the opera include affordable housing, poverty, and health inequities.
Kentucky Opera featured a conversation with LMHA Executive Director Lisa Osanka in its La bohème playbill. Osanka also participated in a three-panel Awakenings conversation on addressing poverty and affordable housing.
The purpose of the Kentucky Opera's Awakenings series is to challenge tradition, question social narratives, and invite varied perspectives into the conversation.
